Mike Caracalas is a dynamic Leadership Coach and Team Facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with corporate executives, including 14 years actively coaching Fortune 500 leaders. Mike spent his early Human Resources career with prestigious institutions such as Mount Sinai Medical Center and NASA, and spent the bulk of his career at Sun Microsystems and Yum Brands/Pizza Hut.
In 2011, Mike left his internal role to pursue his passion for coaching individual leaders and teams. He launched his practice to coach executives on how to transform their business while finding growth and achievement in their professional and personal lives. Mike’s extensive experience in the corporate space has allowed him to develop the coaching philosophy he uses today. He liberates leaders to lead with courage, purpose, and authenticity. He creates leaders who build engaging and vibrant workplaces. And he coaches teams to collaborate in that culture to deliver sustainable business results.
The strong balance of a deep, functional knowledge of organizational behavior, combined with a practical approach to helping business leaders achieve results has led to his success today.
Education and Certifications
Mike attended the University of California, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Information Processing, and went on to receive his Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, with emphasis in Organizational Change and Consultation.
Mike is trained and certified in the Co-Active model of coaching (CPCC) and is credentialed by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). In his coaching, Mike utilizes the Leadership Work Styles from Human Synergistics International and the Team Diagnostic Assessment from Team Coaching International.
